Get a Library Card

If you live in Clinton Township, you may get a library card free of charge, as part of your tax-supported library service.

YOUR LIBRARY CARD ALLOWS YOU TO:

  • Borrow materials from us and from most other public libraries in Illinois.
  • Use special online collections to find magazine articles and information you can't get just by searching the web.

TO GET A LIBRARY CARD:

Please bring a photo ID and ID showing your current address.  Applications for children ages 6-17 also require the signature of a parent or legal guardian.  Please note that parents are ultimately responsible for any overdue fines or damaged/lost material fees incurred by the children.

Non-resident property owners are entitled to one free card per family.  To receive your card, please bring a current tax bill for the property and a photo ID.

According to state law, those who live in areas where no library services are provided may purchase a card at the nearest library within their school district.  The current fee for this card is $113.00 per year.  To apply, please bring one form of ID showing current resident address, and photo ID.
